How long is the free trial?

The trial is for 14 days. If you wish to extend for a short period of time or purchase the software please contact your Sales Manager or email sales@salesmethods.com

What do the users see in salesforce.com if they haven’t been assigned a licence?

SalesMethods products are only shown to users who have been allocated a licence. salesforce.com magically removes the SalesMethods features if the user does not have access. This can simplify the administration as the customer might expect to need different page layouts for users with and users without SalesMethods products (one page layout with and one without). Instead you can use just one page layout and let SFDC remove them required.

Where is the SalesMethods data is stored? Is it on Salesforce or on a SalesMethods server?

We are 100% native and this means that 100% of the data is in Salesforce under the users control. We have no servers and make no calls to external services. From a security point-of-view this makes us very secure.

Unit testing fails when I try to test SalesMethods products having downloaded them from the AppExchange.

Unit testing may show test failures if you have applied validation rules on your objects, typically Account, Contacts, or Opportunities. This is normal and does not affect the operation of the product.

When moving contacts around in OrgChartPlus does it reflect the changes in salesforce.com?

Yes it does. If you add a new contact in OrgChartPlus or change an existing contact’s features then it is immediately updated in salesforce.com because they are the same database. If you are working on a reports-to chart then reporting relationships are updated via the contact reports-to field in Salesforce.

Do you see any of our data?

Nope, none whatsoever. It's all stored on your Salesforce platform.

Who's my account manager?

Email sales@salesmethods.com and your account manager will email you directly.

How often do you release upgrades?

We aim to release an update every quarter. As customers, you are entitled to all upgrades. Please email support@salesmethods.com if you need help.

Will the applications work on my phone?

OrgChartPlus, Plan2Close and Plan2Prosper have all been developed on HTML so they will work on mobile devices. The others are being redeveloped so hold tight and we'll let you know when they're ready.

Can I run Salesforce reports on your software?

Yes. All of our applications are native to Salesforce so you can utilise Dashboards and Reports.

Can I export my data?

Yep, you can export and share your data in a number of ways; Save as attachments, PDFs, print, email and very shortly, export directly into a Powerpoint and other Word documents.

Do you work on any other platforms?

At the moment we work solely on the Salesforce platform, but that's not to say we won't branch out in the future.

Can P2C support a parallel process, for example; 2 record types for one opportunity (Renewal Record and Enterprise Business Record)?

Yes. You can create a different question set for each of your sales processes. You can even have Plan2Close automatically match each question sets to a process or opportunity field values.

Can Plan2Close and Plan2Propser pull competitive data from a separate pick list?

It is possible to use a trigger on the customers object(s) to automatically replicate the data to our competitor data. It should be noted that our SalesMethods competitor database is pretty sophisticated and is usually going to be more advanced than anything developed by a customer’s in-house team.
